An account needs a name and a way to sign in. We do not ask for a contact list, and we do not buy data about you.
Privacy and safety
Location data deserves care.
Circl only works if people trust it, so the rules below are product decisions rather than a legal afterthought.
Location is short lived
Coordinates exist to draw a live map for your space. Old points are deleted rather than archived for later use.
Only your space can see you
Location is visible to the people in your invite-only space. Leaving a space stops the sharing immediately.
Staff access is limited
Access to production data is restricted, logged and only used to investigate a reported problem.
No advertising, ever
We do not sell data or run ads. If we ever charge for something, it will be a clearly priced subscription.
You can take your data out
Ask for an export or a full deletion at data@shapedsocial.co.uk and we will handle it.
Reporting a problem
Found a security issue? Email security@shapedsocial.co.uk with enough detail to reproduce it. We will confirm receipt and keep you updated while we fix it.
